Technology

Thoreau views technology as a necessary evil, or in some cases purely for the sake of being lazy. He believes that technology is wasteful to the world. I have to disagree with him though, some of our technology saves lives and prolongs their lives as well. Technology also provides great entertainment. I probably would go throughout a whole day without technology, but i wold probably sleep for the whole day since my alarm clock would not exist lol.

Cicil Disobedience

Im against the actions the government had made in the war in Iraq, even before the 9-11 event, America was exploiting the middle east for their oil. This leads me to believe that the government isn't in the Middle east to protect us, but more to secure their supply of oil from being cut off. I believe the best way to change these actions is to bring our soldiers back home since all they are doing there is securing the area, they would do much more with their lives at home. Maybe giving a speech to the people like MLK jr. did for the rights of blacks, might persuade them to take them out quicker..

Renegades of Funk

Some of the people mentioned in the song are Chief Sitting bull, Tom Paine, Martin Luther King, and Malcolm X. The singer admired these people because they were renegades of their age, like rebels. The whole band's purpose is to go against the system.
