Banned Books

These books were banned for mainly the use of profanity, the reference to drugs, the explicit descriptions of sexual encounters, and the use of words like "whore" and "nigger". This shows that our country want to try and hide their "dark" history from the public eye. I have personally read Catch 22, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The catcher in the rye. I believe if I hadn't read these books, iI would be rather naive about these occurrences in history.
